Akim Jr’s Story

“As a single father, I provide 24/7 care for my son, Akim Jr, who was born with a rare disease called Pelizaeus-Merzbacher (PMD). I intend to purchase a vehicle with my grant. Without a vehicle, everyday tasks like grocery shopping and medical visits are challenging and expensive, so I’m working on becoming a CNA to earn income while caring for him, but I urgently need transportation to improve our daily lives.
