Esther Rose’s Story
Esther Rose was born a healthy, beautiful baby girl—perfect in every way to us. At just three months old, she caught a virus that led to a nine-minute cardiac arrest. By the grace and will of God, Esther was resuscitated. A miracle took place that day.
Soon after, we learned that Esther was born with a rare heart condition called Scimitar Syndrome, along with pulmonary hypertension. The future felt uncertain, and our lives changed overnight. We spent 14 long weeks at the Children’s Hospital Heart Institute, facing fears no parent ever expects.
The first months with a newborn are usually filled with milestones—smiles, giggles, and recognition. But with Esther, after her cardiac arrest, we were told she might never eat, speak, or walk. We braced ourselves for an “un-normal” life. Yet, through hope, faith, and the resilience of one tiny warrior, Esther defied the odds.
Today, Esther has come so far. She may need a little extra help—oxygen, a G-tube, and several medications—but she continues to amaze us. We’ve celebrated milestones we once feared were impossible: her first bites of food, her first crawl, and even her first words—“ma” and “pa.”
We survived those dark and difficult days by clinging to prayer and holding on to hope for brighter tomorrows. Along this journey, God has surrounded us with incredible people—compassionate doctors, dedicated therapists, and kindhearted supporters like you. For that, we are endlessly grateful.
We believe God chose us to walk this path so that Esther’s story could bring light and hope to others. Even when life looks impossible, faith, hope, and love can overcome the hardest battles.
